Our History In Glasgow & the West
Recycle Mobility Centre is a Community Interest Company which began trading in March 2014. We are a registered not-for-profit social enterprise with the aim of providing new, but predominantly second-hand & reconditioned mobility equipment.
As you may well know there have been major changes effecting disabled and elderly people due to welfare reform and pension crisis resulting in many people struggling financially to make ends meet.
Recycle Mobility Centre has been set up to help met the financial challenges affecting people with mobility impairment by offering an alternative to buying new.
We focus on providing affordable mobility equipment and a repair and maintenance service that aims to help individuals to carrying out day-to-day activities, getting people access to their local community resulting in reducing isolation and loneliness.
We have a very affordable pricing range suited to most people’s budgets and offer a payment scheme with no interest charges. Our repair and maintenance service starts from £50, with friendly service technicians who are always willing to help out with any mobility queries you may have. Our mobility scooters start at £280, Rise and Recliners from £250, manual wheelchairs from £80 and electric wheelchairs from £300. Then we have smaller mobility items and accessories which we offer unbeatable value for example Walking Sticks from £5, Zimmer’s from £10, Tri Walkers from £35, Strollers from £45,
***all prices are negotiable as we are not-for-profit and simply want to make sure vulnerable people get what the mobility equipment they require.
Improving the quality of life of the disabled and elderly people with mobility challenges by reducing debt, increase access to their local community thus reducing isolation and loneliness.
Providing jobs, volunteering opportunities and training to those furthest from the job market helping a huge range of people build skills since we started in 2014.
Reducing and mobility equipment or parts we can repair to waste to landfill and all other waste for that matter, offering a full recycling service helping the environment which is another objective of ours.
