CUSTOMER FEEDBACK

  • After searching for days in second-hand shops and finding nothing, I was directed to Recycle Mobility Centre. The staff approached me right away and could sort out all the equipment I needed. The staff are very helpful and helped me pick out everything needed. They even reserved it for me to pick up later and did it all with a smile!

    Our History

Recycle Mobility Centre is a Community Interest Company which began trading in March 2014. We are a registered not-for-profit social enterprise with the aim of providing predominantly second-hand & reconditioned mobility equipment for a greater value.

There have been major changes affecting disabled and elderly people due to the welfare reform and pension crisis resulting in many people struggling financially to make ends meet. Recycle Mobility Centre was set up to help address the financial challenges affecting people with mobility impairment by offering an alternative to buying new.

We focus on providing affordable mobility equipment and a repair and maintenance service that aims to help individuals to carry out day-to-day activities, getting people to access their local community resulting in reducing isolation and loneliness.

We have a very affordable pricing range suited to most people’s budgets and offer a payment scheme with no interest charges. Our repair and maintenance service starts from £50, with friendly service technicians who are always willing to help out with any mobility queries you may have. Our mobility scooters start at £280, rise and recliners from £250, manual wheelchairs from £80 and electric wheelchairs from £300. We also have smaller mobility items and accessories which we offer unbeatable value on; this includes walking sticks from £5, Zimmers from £10, tri-walkers from £35, and strollers from £45.

To accommodate those who prefer to buy new, we have recently started stocking a few new models of equipment.

    Our Goal

Our goal is to improve the quality of life of the disabled, the elderly, and anyone with mobility challenges by reducing their mobility equipment expenses and hence debt. We aim to give everyone the opportunity to have increased access to their local community thus reducing isolation and loneliness.

A long-term internal goal that we have is to provide jobs, volunteering opportunities and training to those furthest from the job market, helping a huge range of people build skills.

Our environmental goal is to utilise mobility equipment or parts for repair and refurbishing, reducing the waste to landfill and all other waste for that matter, offering a full recycling service.

WHY BUY FROM RECYCLE MOBILITY CENTRE?

When purchasing something as expensive and important as mobility equipment, we understand the worry about buying online. This is why we give you the opportunity to visit our store and let you try and test the equipment before purchasing.

We also understand that mobility equipment can be life-changing but the commercial prices make it harder to commit. Our prices and payment schemes put you first, and these are hard to ignore.
